Maclura pomifera - Osage orange fruit on tree

Scientific name: Maclura pomifera
Common names: Osage orange, Hedge apple

The leaves are gone from this Osage-orange tree, but a lot of fruit remain. It looks as though there are tennis balls hanging from the tree, but the fruit of the Osage orange is actually much larger than a tennis ball.
