The unique leaves and the glorious blossoms that appear in the spring
and early summer make the Tuliptree one that is easily identified.
This tree has a variety of common names: Tuliptree, Tulip Magnolia,
Tulip Poplar and Yellow Poplar. It is a member of the Magnoliaceae family,
of which magnolias are also members. The blossoms may appear high in
the tree and are easily overlooked.
